The group picture is an important component of any international meetings. Usually takes place after the opening session, when people are all sharp looking and fresh. Getting the crowd to gather is a challenge, because everyone is busy catching up with their buddies that they have not seen for a long time. So there is usually someone who has the dirty job of herding cats. Then, there is the game of who will be where on the stage, the important people who walk straight to the central place where they know they below, the important-wannabe-people who try to get as close as possible from the big shots, those who try to hide at the back and those who are still taking a bathroom break. When you see the final product: Look carefully. It's all there to be seen, in pictorial language, behind the squeezed people, shining smiles and embarrassed looks.
